Forklifts rarely fail without warning. Before the breakdown that stops a shift, there’s almost always a noise that didn’t used to be there, a function that’s slower than it should be, or a fluid spot that keeps coming back. A grinding sound during travel usually points to a worn bearing, a brake component dragging, or a drivetrain issue generating metal-on-metal contact.
